CAMP COLETRAIN

Coletrain Music Academy — Music Education for Kids

Smalltown Gathering isn't just a festival kids can attend, it's one where they can learn. Coletrain Music Academy brings seasoned music instructors on-site all weekend, offering hands-on music education programs for kids as part of the Kids Zone experience. Alongside the main stages, young festival-goers can try instruments, join guided sessions, and get real instruction from working musicians, making Smalltown Gathering one of the few Colorado festivals built around music education, not just entertainment, for families.

Join us for Camp Coletrain at Smalltown presented by Collegiate Peaks Bank! Whether you're a budding young musician, an aspiring songwriter, or a family looking to connect through music, these workshops are designed to inspire and engage all ages.

Designed for beginners through intermediate players, the workshop welcomes adults, teens, and kids ages 6 to 12.

Instructors Include:

  • Coleman Smith - Yonder Mountain String Band

  • David Lawrence - David Lawrence & The Spoonful

  • Grace Easley - Roma Ransom

  • Gordon Lewis - Roma Ransom

  • More instructors coming soon!

Tickets: $25 for children and $35 for teens and adults.

Don’t miss this chance to learn, play, and grow in a supportive, music-filled setting.
